As your District 6 Commissioner, Deborah Lynn has remained focused on community results.
Her track record reflects a deep commitment to serving Barrow County with the highest standards of integrity. Over the past four years, Deborah has worked tirelessly alongside her fellow commissioners to resolve long-standing challenges, invest in our community’s future, and ensure Barrow County remains a safe, thriving place to live, work, and raise a family.

Deborah’s tenure has been marked by strategic improvements and a proactive approach to county governance.

Another PROMISE MADE/PROMISE KEPT. Deborah advocated for updating the Comprehensive Transportation Plan and placing TSPLOST referendum on the ballot. Now the County and the Cities are investing TSPLOST dollars to repair our roads by fixing unsafe intersections, adding round-a-bouts, and resurfacing our local roads.

Another PROMISE MADE/PROMISE KEPT. Helping to attract new businesses to Barrow that are yielding higher paying jobs for Barrow residents. She currently serves as Vice Chairman of the IBA (Industrial Building Authority) board, which focuses on promoting economic growth, trade, commerce, industry and employment opportunities.

Another PROMISE MADE/PROMISE KEPT. Since Deborah has been office, the millage rate has always been rolled back. She has never voted on a budget that increased County tax payers property taxes.

Another PROMISE MADE/PROMISE KEPT Successfully settled the Services Delivery Dispute with the City of Winder, ending years of costly litigation paid for by Barrow County taxpayers.

Another PROMISE MADE/PROMISE KEPT Increased vital funding and provided modern resources for our local sheriff's department, including a phased vehicle replacement plan.

Another PROMISE MADE/PROMISE KEPT Expanded fire department staffing and improved emergency response equipment including a New Engine for station 4, and 70% completed upgrades to furniture at stations.

Deborah and her husband have been residents for 20 years and property tax payers of Barrow for over 30 years. They have 5 of their 9 Grandchildren that are graduates of Winder Barrow High School.
